We are in for a full two-week blast of Call of Duty. Between August 19 th and 22 nd, fans will be able to see the best of the best that CoD has to offer compete! We expect a similarly star-studded line-up for the 2021 iteration of the ROKKR Royale Warzone tournament – and we should find out who gets to participate pretty soon, so stay tuned! If that’s not enough Call of Duty excitement for you, you should also get ready for the next big thing – the CDL Championship that’s happening only a few days later, marking the end of the World Championship of this season. For this, both teams had to beat a lot of other talent – including players like Vikkstar, Tfue, TeeP, Crowder, Gotaga, Censor and others. Along with teammates HusKers and Zlaner, he took home $45k of the overall 100k, beating out Swagg, Booya and Superevan who came in second, and took home another $25k. Players were selected from top content creators, talented streamers, a few pros, and more – and the result was a resounding win from the Symfuhny team. The 2021 iteration of this event is the third in a row – after a rocking debut in 2019, they really stepped up their CoD game in 2020, with another $100.000 prize pool. The competition will be held entirely in Trios teams, and span the full two days, with players playing in private lobbies to keep things fair and prevent stream sniping as much as possible! So far, no participants have officially been announced, but since the event isn’t far off at all, it’s only a matter of time before we’ll know who the participants, captains and teams are! With only a few days to go, at least the participant-hopefuls won’t be waiting long – this year’s Minnesota ROKKR Royale will take place on August 16 thand 17 th. In other words, hoping for an invite on Twitter is unfortunately just about the only way fans could even begin to hope to take part. This stream will be casted by CDL casters Miles Ross and Chace, but if you prefer to follow a team more closely players will be streaming their own POV.As always, you’ll be able to watch the competition on Twitch, but it’s invitation only so we are locked to whatever RKR has in store for us. It’s been cool that the Rokkr and other teams have been trying to create their own things. So, it could be a good way for fans to get their Call of Duty esports fix with no CDL this weekend. And as with all of the CDL tournaments, this event will also be live-streamed on YouTube for all to enjoy. Minnesota Rokkr’s Rokkr Arms Race begins at 3 PM ET and will be streamed on the Call of Duty League YouTube Channel. The matches start on Friday, May 1 at 4 pm CST. Teamsįull teams for the Rokkr Arms Race haven’t been announced yet, however, we know the eight captains for tonight along with five full teams. UAV’s and Sentry Guns will be banned but all other streaks are allowed. There will be eight teams of six who will compete in a best of five, single-elimination bracket for $25K. The restrictions for this tournament require teams to use: one AR, one SMG, one Sniper, one LMG, one Marksman Rifle and one Shotgun. A promod format mandates that a specific number of players per team must use specific weapon categories. The Rokkr Arms Race will feature a “promod” format. A Black Ops Cold War tournament with a different format to what we usually see, but the CDL fundamentals are still there. In the third tournament in as many days, the Minnesota Rokkr will be hosting the Rokkr Arms Race.
